non-zero divisor of zero

Purpose

Number theory terminology varies, sometimes a "zero-divisor" is defined as being non-zero by definition, others use "non-zero divisors of zero" specially for this so "divisors of zero" lines up with "division"'s definition - both of which can accept the zero of the ring (q-ring really, but at least a u-ring)

  • See Template data:Term for more information as it was the motivating example for the term system.
