Definition

An atlas for [ilmath]M[/ilmath] (where [ilmath]M[/ilmath] is a topological [ilmath]n[/ilmath]-manifold) is a collection of charts whose domains cover [ilmath]M[/ilmath]

Notation

A common letter used for atlases is [ilmath]\mathcal{A} [/ilmath]
