Definition

The [ilmath]n[/ilmath]th Bernstein polynomial for a function [ilmath]f:I\rightarrow\mathbb{R} [/ilmath] (where [ilmath]I:\eq[0,1]\subset\mathbb{R} [/ilmath] is the closed unit interval) is defined as follows:
