Definition
Given two Cauchy sequences, [ilmath](a_n)_{n=1}^\infty[/ilmath] and [ilmath](b_n)_{n=1}^\infty[/ilmath] in a metric space [ilmath](X,d)[/ilmath] we define them as equivalent if[1]:
